About La Grande
Nestled among the Blue Mountains and the Eagle Cap Wilderness, La Grande, Oregon is located in the center of the largest fully-enclosed valley in North America. The town itself is approximately 13,000 people and is a nationally accredited Tree Town. Sweet.
Eastern Oregon University, along with the numerous boutiques, art galleries, coffee shops, living room jam sessions, bike trails, bodies of running water, dive bars, drifters, and train cars, help to define the cultural landscape.

Ten Depot Street, Mt. Emily Ale House, Joe & Sugars, The Longbranch, Golden Crown, Benchwarmers, the Sub Shop or Raul’s (just across from the Granada).
These are all within walking distance of our venues and worth stopping in at for fuel throughout the fest.

TRANSPORTATION

Rickshaw Grimshaw Taxi Service

RECREATION
While visiting in La Grande for the festival take some time to experience one of the best winter destinations. Anthony Lakes Ski Resort is located just 45 mile from LG and is prime time covered with luscious powder. Receive Half-off your lift ticket if you have an all access festival pass for the entire festival weekend. Shuttles and carpools through the weekend are available. Additionally you may want venture up to MERA (Mt. Emily Recreation Area) – some great snowshoeing picturesque views of the valley to be had – or drive out Ladd Marsh scenic view and take in some great birding.
Throw a round of disc at Eastern Oregon University’s 9 hole frisbee golf coarse. Drive out the old Highway 30 to Union for some history by way of Hot Lake Springs; a foundry, gallery, lodging and dining establishment sitting on top of a natural hot spring – it’s really steaming in the morning.
