Off-duty from his job with the USFS, 30yo. Zach takes a housesitting gig for his aunt and uncle. Spending time in a remote landscape, he reconnects with his ex-girlfriend Ellyn, working playfully to rekindle their old bond. Gradually, the two begin to experience a series of strange events and unexplainable phenomena.
Countering depictions of menacing beings and fear-based scenarios, A MORNING LIGHT will infer that extraterrestrial visitation stems from an ecological standpoint— nurturing the likelihood of benevolent curiosity. Verité, atmosphere and experimental form combine in a quiet, psychologically tense exploration that assumes humanity is in its intellectual and spiritual infancy.

Celia and co. are hard at work down in Arizona, shooting her feature-length debut—MA. It's the story of a virgin mother on a pilgrimage to Las Vegas to give birth to our savior. Check out her shorts online: SI NOS DIJAN, PROM NIGHT, and THE AUDITION.
Really looking forward to collaborating on A MORNING LIGHT.
52 HOURS REMAINING!!!!
Thanks again everyone,
Dusty Decker is one of those people who just radiates good vibes. Kind-hearted, playful, and with an infectious spirit, Dusty can turn it up or down in front of a camera. He's an enthusiastic collaborator whose acting talents can be seen in COUNTRY STORY.
Looking forward to another project with this guy.
Thanks again for the support everybody! Just three days left!
Woke up this morning, pre-coffee, and hopped onto the internet. Refreshed my browser 3-4 times to make sure I wasn't hallucinating, and was struck with the realization that we did it. We, as in YOU—DID IT! THANK YOU!!!! With three days remaining, we look forward to spreading the word, finishing strong, and carrying momentum into production!
A MORNING LIGHT is happening.
Thrilled to announce that friend and collaborator Austin Will join us to act in A MORNING LIGHT. Austin is a Portland-based filmmaker who lent his improvisational talents in 2010 on COUNTRY STORY. He's relaxed, intelligent, and quick-witted—looking forward to working together once again.
We've only got four days remaining on this campaign!
Last weekend I took a drive to Olympia to meet up with Zach Weintraub and Nandan Rao, who one week earlier had begun production on Zach's new movie SLACKJAW. I also met their collaborators Brad Smith and Rob Malone for the first time. This group is up to good things and I'm excited to see the project.
Time in Olympia served as a wonderful pause from the campaign, and provided an opportunity to discuss Zach's character in A MORNING LIGHT, and to weigh out the pros/cons of some potential camera options with Nandan.
Note: Nandan is a fantastic cinematographer and helped shoot my last project MMXIII.
FIVE DAYS LEFT!??? Any continued effort sharing the link, retweeting, or emailing to friends and family is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for the continued support!
